Dror Atri was born on May 24, 1969, and raised in Haifa. He is the son of the late Avraham and Simcha Atri and a graduate of the "Kadoorie" Agricultural High School. In 1997, he moved to the city of Modi'in and is a father of five: Avraham, Shaked-Simcha, Noam, Shalev, and Agam. He began his public service path as a fighter and commander in the Golani Brigade. In 1990, he served as a representative for the "Amidar" company at the "Neve Carmel" caravan site in Haifa, where he was involved in the absorption and housing of 2,000 immigrants.
